I have narrowed down my choices to the Lequip 221 juicer and the Omega 4000. Which do you reccomend and why?
Do you sell the Juiceman Elite Model?
Sorry, we do not sell the elite model. The Elite is essentially the same as the Juiceman II model, except it has a 2 speed motor. We choose to sell the Juiceman II model, since we have not found a major difference in operation. If you did want a two speed motor juice, the JuiceLady JL500, made by the same manufacturer that makes the Juiceman II and Juiceman Elite has the two speed option.
We have a few questions about the Nutrisource 2000 (non-juicing features)
1. Do you have to soak the beans prior to making them into milk?
2. Is it feasible to make milk with your machine from other sources besides rice and soybean?
3.Is it feasible to grind nuts and/or beans into flour as well?
4. What kind of quantities does it produce in a single use?
1. YES, soaking is required. Boiling of the milk that comes out of the machine is also required.
2. NO, I do not think so. Its set up for only two kinds of milk. Other kinds of milks, ie: nut milks can be made in a blender
3. NO, will not grind anything oily, since it would jam up the grinding mechanism.
4. Quantities are pretty much unlimited. Just keep adding items into the hopper, and it will continue to work.
Can the Omega 4000 (or other centrifugal ejection juicers) do vegetable combos that include leafy greens or wheatgrass?
Yes, they will juice leafy greens. (they need to be waded up into a tight ball and then fed into the juicer), (putting a single sprag of parsley simply will not work..) The centrifugal juicers will not juice wheatgrass effectively, we generally reccomend a seperate juicer for juicing wheatgrass.
The Juiceman and Juicelady are about identical, so why pay more for the juicelady?
The bowl (the part where the juice comes out of- into your glass) is stainless steel, which will aid in cleaning (make it easier), also it has 2 speeds (no major deal).. otherwise they are the same.. Go with the juiceman II, its a great unit.. but the white plastic on the "bowl" will tend to stain over time (thats why the stainless steel bowl is nice.) In operation, they both do the about the "same" job..
What is the quietest centrifugal ejection juicer?
The quietest centrifugal ejection juicer is the Nutrisource Juicer, it has the lowest rpm, and is advertised by the manufacturer as "Quietest juicer on the market".. Next in line would be the lequip, followed by the juiceman II..
Is the Omega really worth the extra money or do you think the Juiceman II would be sufficient?
Its our opinion the Omega 4000 is worth the extra money over the Juiceman II. The Omega 4000 has a 15 year warranty, whereas the Juiceman II only has a 1 year warranty. For the extra money, you are guranteed a juicer that will work for 15 years.. The performance is very similiar. If the Omega 4000 is still too much, we reccomend the Nutrisource 1000. Its quieter than the Juiceman II, and has a 5 year warranty. Its a bit less expensive as well!
Do you sell the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer?
Sorry, we do not sell that machine at this time. Please see our article about Wide feed chute juicers that talks about our impressions of the Jack Lalanne Juicer.
Do the self-extracting juicers (the Omega 4000 and the Miracle Ultramatic) process citrus fruits?
Yes, Citrus fruits, such as oranges, grapefruits, tangerines, have a bitter outer rind, and juice from a "whole" orange would be too bitter to drink. It also contains indigestible chemicals. One solution is to grate away (or peel) the outer rind (the orange coloring on the orange - it is best to leave the white "pith", as valuable nutrients are contained within the white area).
Can you tell me the difference between the Juiceman II, and the Juiceman Elite model? Which is the most current product?
The juiceman II has only one speed. The Elite model has two speeds. I have used my Juiceman II since 1995, and it still works flawlessly. If two speeds on a juicer is such a great invention, wouldn't every juicer have 2 speeds? I don't think the 2nd speed is required. They are both are current products.
What are your favorite centrifugal ejection juicers?
Overall, we favor the Omega 4000 juicer, due to its long 15 warranty, and quality workmanship (made in the USA) by Omega who has been making juicers over 50 years! In 2nd place we reccomend the Nutrisource juicers, in our tests, they produced an excellent yield, and includes a 5 year warranty.
How does the The Nutrisource 1000 compare to the Juiceman II?
I feel it does as good a job juicing as the juiceman II. I have used a juiceman II for several years now, and find the nutrisource a bit quieter than the juiceman II, and it has a longer warranty.
I would personally reccomend the Nutrisource 1000 over the Juiceman II, because of the longer warranty, lower rpm (which means more nutrients), and its quieter.
Help! I purchased a Miracle Ultramatic, and in the stainless steel bowl, there looks to be some rust colored stains. Whats going on?
The discolored spots are due to welding at extremely high heat. There are no
materials other than stainless steel used.
I noticed that the Juiceman 2 has a 690 watt motor and the Ultramatic has a 450 watt. Would the Ultramatic tend to lug down more under a load than the Juiceman? They are both rated at 1/2 h.p.
Wattage is the amount of power the motor consumes. Horsepower is the amount of "power" or work that the motor can produce. To make a motor cheaper and keep the same work capacity, a company will be less rigorous in the motor construction yielding a less efficient motor.
I have owned a juiceman since 1995, and it has worked flawlessly. Although the white plastic has and does tend to stain, which would not be a problem with the ultramatic. Also the 3 year warranty on the Ultramatic should tell you something. There is only 1 year on the Juiceman..
What are the differences between the miracle ultramatic and the omega 4000? Will they juice wheatgrass? What about parsley?
All centrififugal ejection juicers are not optimal to juice things like wheatgrass, and I do not reccomend it, since it will bog down the motor, and not yield much juice.. It would also probably shorten the life of the juicer. Its better to get a wheatgrass juicer for that..
The ultramatic is a good machine, in its day (it was out before the 4000), but now we prefer the 4000 due primarily to the 15 yr warranty, vs the 3 yr on the miracle ultramatic. Also the miracle has a 1 piece plastic framed with stainless steel strainer, on the 4000, its a 2 piece- cutting blade/strainer which is all stainless. Due to the design of the ultramatic, would probably be a bit more effective at juicing parsley since it ha a smaller feed chute, and the spacing of the teeth on the cutting blade... The 4000 and ultramatic are both good machines. We prefer the 4000 for durability, and the 15 year warranty. The 4000 is made here in the USA, and the ultramatic is made in Poland.
Hope this helps.
I have narrowed down my choices to the Lequip 221 juicer and the Omega 4000. Which do you reccomend and why?
As shown on our web site, we reccomend the Omega 4000 Juicer over the Lequip Juicer. This is due to:
1. the longer warranty on the Omega.
2. Omega has been making juicers for over 50+ years.
3. We have had a very high defect rate on the lequip.
